FAQ

Common questions

Is Pivotal Carrier Services a government agency?+

No. PCS is an independent private company that provides professional compliance assistance. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by FMCSA or the U.S. Department of Transportation. Many filings can be completed directly with the government; you pay us for expert preparation, review, tracking, and support.

How does the USDOT lookup work?+

Enter your USDOT number and we retrieve available public carrier information to prepopulate your filing. You review and confirm every detail before anything is submitted — you never start from a blank form.

How do I pay and what happens after?+

You complete secure checkout at the end of the guided filing. Immediately after, you're invited into the Customer Portal where you can track filing status, view documents, message your specialist, and see upcoming renewals.

Is my information secure?+

Yes. All submissions are encrypted in transit, checkout is secured, and your data is only used to prepare and support your filing.

What if I need to talk to a real person?+

You can call or text us during business hours, request a callback, or schedule a consultation. During business hours you can escalate to a live agent; after hours we create a lead and a specialist follows up.
